LONG SHOT

LONG SHOT
Unlikely but not impossible. Rom-com sees Seth Rogen as an unemployed journalist who finds himself unexpectedly working for his old babysitter (Charlize Theron), now US Secretary of State, and falling for her in the process. Jonathan Levine (The Wackness, The Night Before) directs. When investigative journalist Fred Flarsky (Rogen) is laid off, his best friend Lance (O'Shea Jackson Jr., Straight Outta Compton) sets out to cheer him up by taking him out to get wasted at a charity event. There he runs into Secretary of State Charlotte Field (Theron), and makes a jackass of himself. Then again, he also makes an impression, and soon Flarsky is travelling the world with Field as her speechwriter. As the pair begin to get to know each other better, the first signs of romance flourish, but with Flarsky way out of his league, and Field harbouring presidential ambitions, the odds are against them. Directed by Jonathan Levine ('The Wackness', '50/50', 'Snatched') Starring Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron, Alexander Skarsgård, Randall Park, Andy Serkis, Ravi Patel, June Diane Raphael, O'Shea Jackson Jr. Written by Dan Sterling, Liz Hannah Comedy, Romance 125mins Rating: M Drug use, sex scenes, sexual references & offensive language USA
